    Came across this proud old lady while looking thru the Kijiji boat ads in New Brunswick. A neat old Lobsta Yacht based on an early Novi hull form.

    Yes! I need one of those things to get across the mud flat at low tide (while I'm waiting on my promised sea level rise).

    RWatson, where are you? Get cracking on building one of these now.....

    I am afraid for youse guys souls.
    This thing is an ecological disaster.
    Think of all the spawning beds for various little bugs, therefore minnows, there fore fish, therefore sharks, etc.

    Much more to the disturbed ecology that I would never recognize - being not quite green as I am. But there has to be eco disaster in the waiting.

    I remember that contraption from when I was a kid. It's long gone, never worked well and no competition for air cushion vehicles. Their souls are probably doomed, but not for this abortion. A miniature one might make a good rough plane though . . .

    I don't quite see what your problem is. It's a lot more 'green' than my preferred option, which involves a large amount of fertiliser, diesel fuel and noise.... quick channel build, though.

    Alas, the day when I could get away with something like that is long gone.

    Actually there is a lake near me which has been dredged to eliminate silting from 50 years of dirt inflow.

    A local materials business is buying the dirt dredged, since it works as topsoil, compost, and fertilizer all at once.

    Just dredge out that mud flat and start a farm.

    I would, if I could get away with it. As I said, those days are long gone...

    Here Wynand's thoughts about a Busa engine in a Seven . . .

    But for those who want to go completely bananas in a Lotus Seven, here's a turbo kit that at 28 PSI boost gets 450 HP* from the Busa power plant . . ;)
    * . . . and short service and rebuild intervals I guess . . . :idea:
    Cheers,
    Angel
