Hoyte: nice try but the jokes on you! I recently had eye surgery to remove cateracts and no longer wear glases - except to read. Of course I am now 73 and my Dad got nowhere close to that age so we don't have any photos to work your magic on . . .

Pretty much comes with the territory at my age, but the eyesight improvement with the artificial lenses is awesome, especially color. I didn't realise I had lost almost all of my blue vision with the cateracts.

It's an institution!

How rare is it to see one that hasn't yet had its engine upgraded to a turbo . . . ?

Parts for the Wasp Junior engine are getting hard to find but there are still a good number of the planes using the old radial engine. I heard Viking Air of Victoria, Canada, still manufactures most of the parts for them and now has bought the license to build the entire airplane from Bombardier Aerospace. We will see if they start building the Beavers again.

Meaning the pic in post #5213 . . ? ?

The pic has left that post, at least for me at this moment, but shown there was the Pearl Shoal Waterfall in the Jiuzhaigou Valley in China.

More here... Jiuzhaigou Valley, China
If the pic disappears again, it's also shown here.

Hi Terry,

The last ‘‘ ) ’’ of the URL is on the wrong side of the ‘‘ ’’ tag. So the links doesn't work properly. Best always test them after posting . .

Click on ‘‘Edit’’ and you'll see... The end of that URL must be ‘‘ (Texas) ’’ and not ‘‘ (Texas) ’’

This happens when this forum automatically makes links of URLs with an ‘‘ ) ’’ on the end, but it's manual restorable by putting that ‘‘ ) ’’ on the left side of the ‘‘ ’’ tag. As is done below . . .

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guadalupe_River_(Texas)

Good luck !
Angel

P.S. - I've asked the Moderator to look if this could be automatically solved for the future . . .

Fixed. The only clue is the last ")" which was a different color.

I think that's the first time I've ever posted a link without testing it first.

I pasted it in like normal text and didn't notice that it didn't change to a link, but it's odd that it appears to be a link when posted! It works fine if I use the URL link facility in the advanced page but I am sure I have done this hundreds of times . . .
