    This being the most viewed thread I'll post the warning here -

    Internet scam starts with guy with heavy Indian accent who asks you to do stuff with your computer to convince you of a virus threat then tries to talk you into downloading an application from showmypc.com (a reputable internet company) that would give someone, probably him or a buddy, access to your computer. He probably wants to sell you bogus virus protaction or steal personal data, I didn't go any further. He'll even give you a phone number when the same heavy Indian accent announces a bogus company name, presumably a throwaway phone.

    He claims to be working for MicroSoft but MS doesn't call you like that.
