Is the toilet goes in the middle of the platform, or at the end?

A bad case of the roids flaring up right now?

The cat-kayak looks way more useful (stable) and comfortable than a mono-hull kayak . Of course it's going to cost twice as much though.

There are videos with more powerful motors on them, follow the links - you can scoot around.

The cat-kayak is stable and easy to re-enter from the water. The downside would likely be drag when under way, cost, weight, and perhaps a difficult shape to hoist up for car-topping.

And a high profile when paddling into the wind. I have always liked conventional kayaks over canoes because of the low profile. Nothing like beating against a strong wind in the middle of a lake.

I've been trying to teach my children that advertising copy does not equal truth.
Much of the commentary on this site follows the same path.

No roids here, did you think of that because you have a problem?

Its ugly, heavy, and no real benefit to having lots more surface area (slow).
The narrow tunnel will cause interference drag at anything more than a drifting pace.

I really dislike the heavy low strength plastic used in the typical rota-molded boat, barge or what ever is appropriate to call that thing.

    I don't want a bigger motor.

This thing will raise another generation of quality challenged youth and we will all wonder - why don't they like real boats?

Thanks for providing me the opportunity to explain.

BTW, this boat provides all the benefits claimed by your favorite boat and I bet it is quicker with the same propulsive force. (Pity it was not finished better and way too much money).

You explained your views, great. I still like it (the cat), not my favorite boat though, that is reserved for hovercraft.

Some things in the cat-yak copy, for instance; cats are always faster.... do raise an eyebrow. Sure they are faster if you can get one of the hulls out of the water, not the case here.

I'll take a little more wind resistance if it means I can move about and do tasks such as fishing. Maybe being able to switch positions and stand for a while would help someone with roids, you never know. Such are the trade offs of any design decision.

Nice wood boat in the link, I'd love to have one of those too, get a real collection going.
