    Vic,

Please accept my humble apologies. I thought I was making a point about idiocy while not going overboard, so to speak, but you're right. No more of those, I promise. Creativity in language is a worthy goal, I'll work on it.

    Cheers,

    Charlie

    Creative Language

    Charmc:

Creative language... is that what we call it ?
    Apologies accepted :D

We all get carried away sometimes, my creative language has been returning nicely ever since I was laid off back in Dec.

It's liable go down hill as soon as I return back to the funny farm for another season.

    Your alright dude..................... :p

Yes, creative, as in what inspired a comment by the owner of our company after I finished a telephone troubleshooting session with a customer who couldn't understand that it was the 3/4" valve he had installed on a 1 1/2" feed line (don't ask me how), and not our desal equipment, that was causing his reduced water flow.

"You just told that stupid ******* to go to hell, but the way you said it, he's actually looking forward to the journey!"

Some days you get it right, some days you don't.

Vic, I hope you get back to work soon, if that's what you desire. You're all right, too.

#496, I think. Yeah, Walrus, and then I was wunderin' if one of our brilliant designer types would calculate that, with all that extra drag below the surface, this smuggler chap would do about 10-12 knots, just burnin' up about 320 gph! Probably turns quick, though, with 4 ahead, 4 astern, make you dizzy....

Oh heck, (Hi, Vic!), I'd love to take it out, even just once. If you'll pay for the fuel, Walrus, I promise to tell you how much fun it was.

How would such a large boat and a monohull at that appear to be on the point of pitchpolling?
    Did it hit shallows?
Definately an "OOOHHH SHIIITTTT" moment. lol.

No, they didn't hit anything. See the next picture, it begins like that and for the same reasons that a racing cat can pitchpoll. That is not very uncommon on very fast, light small cruising monohulls pushed to the limit by a spinacker (there is a thread about spinnakers and that effect, I mean the secondary effect of pushing the bow down). The difference is that a cat does pitchpoll and the monohull, because is heavier and ballasted just stops and fall on its side, before righting up again.

Wide spoon shaped planing bows should solve it....
