    FMS,

    Thanks, that's what I thought.
My question comes from knowing that my 60's built sub had fixed pitch, and ~ 120RPM limit to the driveline.
Adjustable pitch would probably have given more options at both higher and lower speed on the 30' prop.

I must admit that it does look like the blades would not fully reverse. I can only assume it does not and reverse G box is fitted. This is just pitch control.

But then I strongly suspect it is an optical illusion.

Why is it standing on a grate and notice the black dots on the blades for pitch synchronization.

Ille bet it cost a bit

This is part of a statement by the British Embassy in Washington:
The Embassy concluded by noting that the U.K. and the U.S. share a close and special relationship and the “Churchill Bust story is a silly diversion – let’s get on and focus on seeing who wins most medals in the Olympics.”

I wish it amazed me that people from Mitt Romney right on down to Hoyt are still carrying on about this. But sadly, it doesn't surprise me in the least. As I've said before, there are folks who would hate Obama for the toothpaste he uses, if they knew what brand it is.:(

    Hoyt,

That was just a little joke about it is not acceptable for active military to criticise the commander in chief in public.
Nothing more. Surfs don't apply in this case.

With this global warming we're seeing more and more migratory sharkgulls . The Toothy buggers normally keep Newfoundland beaches free of tourists...causing a big problem over here
