and this brings back memories of my dog, - http://vimeo.com/44017902 - a kelpie I called Sally who worked with me whilst I was share-farming and raising fat lambs and contracting in a mobile sheep-dipping and 'drenching' service processing some 150,000 head each shearing season of 100 days...

    Hi the1much,
Is that your "lake camp"? looks very nice and comfortable - Summer there now so you must have spent the winter in hibernation with a couple of bears (nekkid wimmen) for warmth?

This is kinda split off from Hoyt's build thread, post #140 and beyond . . . .

To not further distract there I'll post this one here . . . .

    Nice!

I enjoyed the diversion and was not in the least troubled by the interesting contributions. You may continue there if you wish. It made the thread more entertaining.

What do you think of the name Klompen Kat for the Teotwawki boat?

I know it was not a problem, but this thread is a nice place for Black Pearl, so here she is . . :)

Don't think Klompen Kat is a good name for your boat as the hulls looks most like Klompen when upside down . . .

So the name could be a provocation of fate . .

    Good luck !

In high school, my friends and I acquired a condemned life boat off of a ship down in Galveston. We patched it up and took it out sailing with its lug rig sail, four oars and a rudder. No center board and not much keel so could not get much of a close haul to the wind.

Edit: I just found where I posted this before. Getting old is tough.
