It's not difficult, just select "Go Advanced" and scroll down from the message window and click on "Manage Attachments"

It's a courtesy to those who do not have access to highspeed internet, if they are at sea for example ...

How do Norwegians heat the homes?

We use electricity, approx 20.000kwh for a house per year, including hot water and lights.
We also burn wood, in a stove or chimney, at home mostly for really cold days, like minus 15 or so, but at a typical mountain hut wood is the primary heat source.
If electricity cost a little more we would invest in some kind of converters, "heat pumps" we call them, air to air converters has a pay back time of a few years, but we need to heat water that flows in our floors, that's more expensive technology.

I wondered, because when electricity fails, the problems begin. Electrically fired gas furnaces don't work in a power outage. It just seems to show a lack of foresight.

Nice-sounding forecast, mild temperatures, gentle breezes, days without snow - actual sun - I think I might move to Norway! We're getting snow more or less continuously, I've given up clearing it and just scrape a pathway to the street a few times a day. The boat is starting to disappear again and it's raised half a meter off the ground. When/if it ever stops I will crank up the snowthrower and do a decent job. They tell us we missed the big storm: could have fooled me.

Some people build new houses without a chimney, that's a lack of foresight.
We can keep warm and probably make some coffee and food with our stove.
I even found free firewoods in containers when neighbors rebuild their houses :)

Yes, the forecast is good. It's been raining for a week now, after a perfect white winter from early November. Yesterday night I was skiing with my kids while it was snowing again. If we are lucky, the skiing will last until we start boating in June :)
