Gators can outrun a horse for short distances. You better hope there is a tree nearby if one comes at you.

If you like hot dogs, this is a great place to eat. Mel's on Busch Blvd. east of Busch Gardens in Tampa between 40th and 46th St.

I very much doubt that Hoyt. I really think you'll find that's urban myth at work again.

Crocodiles can run faster that alligators ( they have a more efficient gait) and they are only fast when they are very young.

It's all in the physics, they are heavy and short legged and they have a gait which makes it impossible for them to move very fast.
They are dinosaur leftovers evolved as ambush predators not sprint predators, to outrun a horse takes some doing.

I went out kayaking yesterday to track down some reports of derelict vessels I had gotten from various sources. These haven't been post processed as yet.

The interesting bits were up a small bit of water called Deadwater Slough off the main channel of the Snohomish River. People have been dumping unwanted boats here for some time.

I think this was the result of zooming while shooting, but i like the effect anyway...

This was the bow of something large...

This was an old Chris Craft (I think) that has been left out to die.
