All I said is what a nice profile one might build a nice double-ender from.
Even if it is just a pile of rocks.

Oh, by the way. The anchor is at the same place as the picture was taken.
Its been standing there for millenia because the people THOUSANDS of years ago KNEW what is was so they made it a memorial. These are decendents of the same people THAT GOT OFF THE BOAT. Been there ever since.
These fellow simply walked up and snaped a photo. Hasnt moved.

Sure I understand, no need to sell me, I already believe what I believe.
Being the scientific Indian that you are, you obviously got your views figured out too.

If you ever figure out how to sell a hotdog that doubles as a drill bit, throught the other side of a rock, let me know. I give you ten million cool hard cash.

But I'll have to pay you in wooden nickles.

How many boats can you build with ten million in wooden nickels?

That anchor worries me. With that size hole in it it's going to make a lot of water very quickly... it's not going to keep up.

Angel, thanks for the beautiful ice yacht pictures and photos. I've wanted to do this ever since I was a kid - I even planned a trip to Canada to have a go. The boats you show are beautiful. Does it often freeze hard enough in the Nederlands to allow ice sailing?

    Hi Tiny,

Not every year. But far as I can remember many winters it's possible. The Gouwzee is a good spot for it.

We had a search for the ‘‘Paard van Marken’’ (Paard = Horse) on the 'Where is this?' thread. Look at the pic's there! That's on the Markermeer but it's close to the Gouwzee.

You can see the ‘‘Paard van Marken’’ also in this beautiful ice sailing video at 2:31 for 3 seconds.

You could ask the Ice Sailing Association ‘‘De Robben’’ if they would give you a 'ice sailing alert' when it happens again. It's a lot closer than Cannada for you!

If you search on YouTube with only ‘‘Gouwzee’’ you find a lot of ice sailing videos! Or search 'Google Images' with ‘‘Gouwzee IJszeilen’’.

Here are two more vid's............ I don't embed them because you 'must' see them in HD and full screen!

    (Paard van Marken at 3:52 - 4:02)

    Enjoy!

    Gouwzee again....!!
