Raft/Junk Raft Building

    In the mid nineties I met two brothers, Swiss I think, who'd built a forty foot catamarran/raft, in Key West, out of car tires stuffed with plastic bottles. It was so flexible that the rig had to be guyed by a spider web-looking arrangement.
    This was in St Augustine Fl. They planned on going to NYC, hoping to speak at the UN on environmental issues before setting off for Europe for similar conciousness raising endeavors. Wonder how far they got?

    Its a problem with the linking. Think you have to copy and paste the whole line in or something. Will try to fix.
