Most of the time 2 mat and 2 roving is enough. This must be a 21' plus boat so you could add another layer of each if you wanted to.

Doublebias tape is stronger per equal weight. We use 45/45 12 oz. Biaxial tape 6" wide for stingers (1 or more layers), no mat. You might even be close to our warehouse.

We should have asked if you are using epoxy or polyester resin, it will make a difference in what type of glass and how you use it.

JR Shine, are you sebastianshine on the "other" forum? I have been looking for you due to this project. Where is the shop at? I am an hour out of Sebastian. I am going to try to pick up the stuff at Fibre Unliminted in South Orlando on friday. I need to tape in three stringers and lay up the floor which is going to be about 50 inches wide by about 20 feet. Then i will need to create the fish boxes. I will need to do this as cheaply as possible. Any sugestions?
