Question about wingsail foil shape

    That is pretty cool, Fusioneng. I bet there's a future in that hybrid way of thinking.

    I couldn't work out what the new thinking was. Wasn't he effectively just using motor and human power to generate apparent wind?

    Since the last 40 years have seen the invention of windsurfing, kiting, the modern assymetric spinnaker and modern wingsails as well as the many other ideas that have flopped, I find it hard to believe that there has been a significant lack of new thinking about rigs as he claims. Certainly motorsailing (which is effectively what he was doing) is hardly new.

    your correct no new thinking, and definately nothing special or spectacular.

    but I do have lots of fun for under a buck a week

    While your description and in the video seems fairly straight forward have you ever posted drawings?
