    Does anyone know who makes the fairleads that the RNLI use on their lifeboats?

    They are fitted to Severn, Trent, Tyne and a few others

    I think that the closed fairlead shown in the photo above is called a drogue fairlead.
    These folk claim to have made them for the Tamar class lifeboat - they might perhaps even sell them 'off the shelf'?

    Hi
    Unless you worried about the aesthetics of them.
    I've made quite a few over the yrs. for my yachts and fishing boats.
    out of Stainless round bar. and flat strap. sized to suit.
    welded with a backing plate under deck\Welded to deck.
    No rusting. Corrosion. smoother run for ropes
    They Look nicer.
