It was in an issue a few month ago and is part of an on going design contest program. Entries aren't due until this fall (I think). It'll appear as an ad toward the back of the magazine.

I have no problem with the link. In the current issue of Pro Boat, it's on one of the very last pages, as full page ad. I'd imagine the digital version is the same. You could just contact Carl at WoodenBoat.

Yes, I like the theme. :) And I bet some other folks from BD.net will find it interesting. Don't tell me you don't... ;)

The world needs another runabout like another monetary collapse. Personally, I think the design criteria are way too broad to be especially satisfying. The design that will be selected, will attempt to be what most successful production boats do, too much. Simply put, it'll do nothing particularly well, except possably scoot pretty good and have lots of cup holders, which typically will need to be built into the head's toilet paper dispenser, before it passes the marketing team review.

    Merciless, as always. :)
Fact is, the world doesn't really "need" pleasure boats at all. Just like it doesn't need Ferrari cars, personal jet planes and similar toys. Yet they are being made. So perhaps, if we broaden the meaning of the word "need", the world actually does need all of the above things. I believe that we need dreams to pursuit, now more then ever.

    Cheers

Come on, no one pursues dreams any more, other wise all ugly women would have been genetically altered at birth, to have an extra boob by now.

Thanks, all. I'm sorry that we lost it on the website. It should be back up today.

We're having a tough transition to the software update....

    Best wishes to you, Carl

P.S. It's now back up, at www.proboat.com. Upper right, second banner down.
