    You are right the 4,5 L is not lightweight and maybe overkill in that boat. But going bigger than required has several advantages when you are serious on long voyages, especially in combination with a CPP.

    The CPP is not that sort of hughe investment you might think. If compared with a common drivetrain of high quality it does not cost much more. Depending on the operational conditions it pays back within a couple of days or several months of operation. If you use the boat for what it is designed, travelling long distances and logging several hundred hrs. a year, it saves you tons of fuel and lets your engine live much, much longer.
