Does anyone know the equation for finding the force normal to an inclined plane with water flowing across one surface? I'm thinking of a trim tab. I know the area (it's a simple rectangle),maximum angle of attack, and the maximum flow rate. I want to know the force vector at the CE of the tab so I can turn it into a force on the actuator.

    Thanks

if trim tabs are what you are trying to design I believe there is an article in professional boatbuilding about trim tabs for high speed crafts

    it may help
