Are Series 60 Hulls more efficient than Taylor Standard Series Hulls?

    I'm struggling to understand the math and I'm curious if the Cb=60 parent from Series 60 has less resistance than the comparable Taylor Standard Series Hull? I've not found a direct comparison. Is there one?

    Define "comparable". There is enough shape difference between the Taylor Standard and Series 60 that they do not represent the same "cargo block". Additionally, the specific power of the assumed prime movers significantly alters the weight distribution. Remember that the two parent shapes are 50 years separated in time and that one does not select a hull form based to minimum resistance alone (i.e. FWIW, the Series 60 has better power recovery).
