Greetings. Can any of you share with me a set of KT(J), KQ(J), eta(J) curves for the Kaplan Ka series propos, in 19a nozzle? (Or their polynomials.)

    Thanks!

The polynominals are in SNAME's Principles of Naval Architecture, 1988 ed, Vol 2, Chpt 6, Sect 9.

Thank you both! I am embarrassed to learn that it was right on my shelf the whole time...I tend to grab my 1967 PNA instead of the 1988 version. Doh!

For what it's worth, I also think the 67/78 edition is better written to explain the methods. Back BPC when spreadsheets were paper, explaining the method was more needed because everyone had to write their own code/models.

Try to see if this David Taylor Model Basin (Carderock Division) document is OK for you:

Thanks for finding that! Always hard to find four-quadrant data, but in this age of increasing interest in electric drive with regeneration it is increasingly useful.
