Promoting Electric Propulsion for Small Craft

    With financial support from the Office of Naval Research under grant N00014-18-1-2275, the American Society of Naval Engineers is pleased to announce Promoting Electric Propulsion (PEP) for Small Craft, an educational and competitive program to foster the development of electric boats in the United States. Participants in PEP will:

    • Have the opportunity to showcase their electric boat during an in-water competition, held in conjunction with the Multi-Agency Craft Conference (MACC) July 18-19, 2018
    • Be provided one complimentary registration to the Multi-Agency Craft Conference
    • Earn one complimentary registration to an 8-hour short-course on Electrical Power and Power Electronics Basics for Ship Propulsion on July 17, 2018
    • Compete for one of five $2,000 technology mini-grants to promote further innovation in the electric power domain
