    "Procyon"

    New member here.

I have "Procyon" here in Miami, Florida, available for sale (open to offers) or possible trades.

She is still in very nice shape, I will have a website together for her soon.

    Model of Her

Sorry I've been MIA for quite a few months now and missed this posting.

Did you ever get her rigged up?

Too bad this subject thread sort of faded away.

I bring it back up as it is interesting how this Procyon project influenced other experimenters, like this A-frame mast utilized in a 2008 study of:
'Wind tunnel and CFD investigation of unconventional aftmast rigs'

I posted a summary of that study over here:

Just yesterday, I had a brief talk with Randy West who was the captain aboard Procyon during the first years of her introduction. Turns out he lives pretty close to me now in FL, and we have made tentative arrangements to get together in person in the very near future and discus old times, and details he recalls about Procyon.

    Should be interesting.

Regrettably I did not get that chance yet,...just too many other 'things' came up.

Procyon details including 55 photos. Shame there aren't more pictures of her sailing.

Can not access those photos any longer? Wonder if there is another way to find them?

BTW I spent a few days down at Randy's current vessel, the catamaran Ppalu. I going to go sailing a short distance south with Ppalu next thur.
