barn found hickman sea sled

    Went to my chiropractor, talking fishin and boats, and he mentios a friend of his was given a 30's era all mahogony skiff about 16', kinda like a cat, built by hinckly.
    I'm thinkin he meant hickman- and supposidly in pretty good shape for being in a barn for a while. hoping to get some pictures, I'll put up if anyone wants.

    Please do, I have a keen interest in the original Hickmans. Would it be for sale?

    Got a few pictures, looks to be in excellent shape, I can't seem to add attachments to my reply. The owner is going to get it ready for the drink and knock it around a bit, possibly looking to sell after the season.

    I'd like to see pictures too. It's been a lot of years since I've seen one outside of Mystic Seaport (that is also the town they were built in).

    Q. What's special about this boat except it's old, can one say antique ?

    Actually there's considerable innovation and interest in these old inverted V hulls. Hickman invented the type and was the major promoter and developer.
