First rebuild, with full time job and 2 kids I expect it will take 2 years but found the hull I wanted close to home and wanted to give it a shot.

Console is off, fuel tank is out, sole removal is in process.

    Goals:
    Replace fuel tank
    Inspect repair stringers
    Replace sole
    Bow fish box
    New console
    Leaning post live well combo
    close transom
add a bracket (not sure which yet)
    Fix hull dings and gouges
    Paint
    New power

Will update as I can and likely ask for advice.

    Hi Frank,

Off to a flying start I see! Nice. I'm in the same spot as you are. Two (young) kids, full-time job and a dream of building a boat. Will try to follow your progress and give advice where I can.

    Good luck!

    Daniƫl.

Starting on stringer repair then onto tank and floor, need to order epoxy, glass and other items. Here's the list, what else do I need?

    1. West System Epoxy kit, slow hardner
    2. Fiberglass - 1708 as this is recommended often for repairs. Will be used for stringer repair, new sole, transom. Is 1708 appropriate or simply 17oz biaxial?
    3. Silica Thickener
    4. notched spreader
    5. laminating roller
    6. corner roller
    7. West System roller covers

I have roller frames, brushes, mixing cups, mixing sticks, and plastic gloves already

You might want to protect your lungs against the fumes of the epoxy or are you working outside?

Then I believe you've got it covered. To my knowledge 1708 is just fine.
    Have fun!
