Pressure sensors for measuring pressure field on the bottom of the planing hull?

Piezo sensors are not the right choice for measuring "DC" pressures if the objective is, as the OP has stated, to measure the static pressure field.

We have used piezo sensors of various types to measure dynamic phenomena (unsteady flows mostly) and they are excellent for that because they have a high frequency response and are typically very small.

After singing in our office to invisible microphones on the top of the Everest and the bottom of the Mariana Trench we came to the same conclusion... :)

However thanks for the tip. It might be useful in future for measuring high frequency dynamic phenomena.
