    Hi Guys,

We've just finished some new exterior renderings of Super Yacht Bristolian and we are keen for any feedback you may have on the renderings.

    The lighting is early morning...

    Regards,

great renderings! The boat could use some work by a real naval architect though.

    Hi Sailaweigh,

Thanks for your advice. The boat is actually a Philippe Briand design - one of the world's premier yacht designers. Perhaps you should do some homework before posting comments.

Hi CGN, thanks for the comments! :) We use the same software that's used by the film and game industry - 3ds Max. Unfortunately naval architecture design software is not quite up to producing renderings of this type of quality - that is lighting, shadows, etc.

There has been some interesting cross-overs in recent years, however things are still developing. So will be interesting to watch.

Nice Urbanvoyage!!, I use carrara for more "comercial" work it does the workjob so far, but is a really nice water rendering, are you modeling on 3DS or converting to mesh and import to 3Ds?, I'm starting to move more to mesh modeling just for rendering it really helps the "integrity" of the model and speeds up a little bit more the rendering time.

    Congrats!

Hi CGN, we use polygonal modelling. This is best for texturing and rendering! :)
