Powerboat concept - advice needed

    That is how you start, folks. In the beginning we all were drawing fancy sketches and had more daydreams than knowledge. :)
    Don't be too harsh on this guy. This is his very first attempt in designing (intended as styling) a boat. His intentions are good and I can see a talent in what he has shown here.

    Enigmatic, now you have to add knowledge to your drawing skills. Read a lots, get on board whenever you can and look carefully around you. Many things can be learned even by observing how the others have done the job, and by trying to understand why a particular design solution was applied to that particular boat.

    I think the most important thing to learn is that a boat has to be functional to succeed. The styling will sell, but only if the boat performs properly. The performance may be the capability of carrying twelve people in a short length hull, or may be going over 100 knots. Whatever it may be, the boat needs to fulfill it.
