Anybody know of any Fairmiles from the second world war still floating around?

My Grandfather bought the first one sold after the war for $3000 Canadian.

It's call numbers were 088 and became known in the Georgian Bay as simply "The 88".

It changed hands a number of times and sank almost as many, for the last time probably 20 years ago.

They were 112 feet long and gasoline powered.

Ah, those were the days, 'eh!

    Thanks.

    You investigator you!

    Thanks.

I was hoping to make a direct connection with someone here.

    Like I have with you!

    Cheers Hoyt.

P.S. When is your new motor due to arrive?

I love drifting my own thread...

On that note: We've just had our sixth drowning in just three weeks.

Then let natural selection perform unhampered.
