    Hi all,

I need to make a small repair in the area I am showing in the photo. The picture is from a mold that doesn't need a repair but is one of my other molds that is more or less like this.
It is missing a tiny bit of gelcoat.
The problem is that I can't access that area as my finger doesn't fit inside to sand it.

Any ideas how I can sand that area to give a good fix and polished it afterwards?

    Many thanks

Glue sandpaper to a tongue depresser.

@Blueknarr what is the tongue depresser?
Can you post a link to a picture or description so I can understand what you mean?

T.D. the little stick your doctor uses to see the back of your throat better.

An old credit card would work as well.

You could just push a bit of plasticine in it and tool off with a simple timber scraper, give a rub with some rag & wax and just go for it..
Or you could make/mold a tool off the tool in that area so that can assist in shaping a small dab of gelcoat to repair, when set use some wet & dry paper on your tool tool, then some fabric and cutting compound.
