Plywood bending question, replacing skiff bottom panels

    Thanks.

    I am going to make them the original length per the original plans, 10 feet from the bow.

    The plans call for screwing them to the side panels but this boat may live in the water and I am concerned about rot.

    They will be coated with epoxy of course. Is thickened epoxy strong enough to attach them or should I drill oversize holes and bed screws in epoxy as well?

    I could also bed a couple bolts into the sides as studs and use nuts to attach them.

    Either way if mechanically fastened and they hit something hard enough I expect the side will be damaged.

    What's the best way?
