anti fouling paint on polyethelene hull

    Anyone have a method for getting anti fouling paint to stick to polyethelene ?

    A boat made of such materials was I suppose never meant to be in the water for any length of time and therefore not on their list of priorities when choosing materials.

    The metal arc spray people claim that they can spray any material - fiberglass, etc, because the hot spray cools so fast, it doesn't destroy the surface. So no idea how well it would stick, but possibly arc sprayed zinc.

    Alternatively, alcohol wipe + oxidizing the PE with flame allows some things (epoxy, polyurethane) to stick to it.
