looking for answer to puzzle

Thankyou for inviting me to register. I am trying to solve a question for our family tree. In 1848 my gg grandfather came here on the 'Sibella'. It is listed as a 3 mast ship rig. Also in the list in a 3 mast ship and and 3 mast barque. I dont know where else to ask. Would someone be able to tell me the difference between the 3 mast ship rig and the 3 mast ship and a 3 mast barque.

A three-masted barque has the front two masts square-rigged, but the aft or "mizzen" mast is rigged "fore and aft" with a triangular sail on a boom at it's bottom like a modern sailboat. A three-mast ship rig and a three-masted ship are the same thing and is a ship where all the masts are rigged with 'thwartships yards to support the square(ish) sails. Note that a ship-rigged ship often carried a fore-and-aft sail on the mizzen mast in addition to the cross-yards, but a barque has only a fore-and-aft sail there.
