Hi, I'm new here and to the boating world as well. I just purchased what I have re-named "Can-O-Worms" to liveaboard and fix. It is a 28' 1978 Carver with twin Ford 302's (both blown and beyond reasonable repair).

I am toying with the idea of losing the engines and converting it to an outdrive system. It seems to be the most practical thing to do right now, but I am relatively naive so I need lots of input.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

    Thanks,
