    hi there everyone i hope i have posted in the correct place if not please forgive the new boy .

    as of yesterday i am the proud owner of my first boat , but my question is this ! just what have i bought ?? i thought it was wilson flyer but im yet to find a picture thats exactly the same shape . doeas anyone have any ideas thanks [​IMG] [​IMG]

    Hmmmm. You bought something not knowing what it is.
    A cathedral hull - Looks like someone 'splashed' a Boston Whaler or Del Quay Dory

    Pretty sure it is not the Dell Quay Dory version, though might be wrong. I saw one recently and it (DQD) version has a more pronounced central V bow ie it sits further forward compared to the outlying two 'bows'. Not made for too many years, it was developed to go through the Solent chop a bit better than the 'standard' type of cathedral hull they had.

    Looks about right for power, a 25 will be OK, though I expect she will be rated for 40. But she is also old enough to be rated for 2 strokes (lighter engines), so if you change the unit be aware of this.
