    Phaedo...I've watched too many Brit sitcoms I am never quite sure about that name...moving on.

    Flaperons on the fwd beam? Or is just canvas that's part of the net? If it is it's not flapping around much.

    Yes they are a simple laced on fabric beam fairing. The back edge of the fairing is laced onto the net they don't move around much because the nets are tight.
