New F18 Cat

    Doug Lord Flight Ready

    I got lucky this morning and was able to see Matt McDonalds new F18 up close and get some pictures. This is the first boat out of the mold and the workmanship is just first class. Two boats will be shipped to the F18 Worlds coming up shortly. Worlds website: http://www.abyc.org/event.cfm?id=378
    Here are the pix-the new sails from Glaser aren't in yet so I just got boat and detail pictures:


    Pix-L to R: 1) starboard hull, 2) non-skid, 3) rudder, 4) spinnaker chute, 5) Port hull, 6) self-tending jib traveler, 7) view from aft, 8) mast rotation control, 9) daggerboards laying on tramp-

    Looks like fun to me, I love the clear coated carbon trailing edges on the rudders, not too sure about the non skid tho, its a bit out there :cool:
