Panga Boat Design

I am living in the Philippines and would like to have a Panga Boat built here in wood as fiberglass is not practical or economical. My builder is asking me for Offsets. If anyone can help with this would be appreciated. I seek plans for building a Panga of 24 - 25 feet. Beam of less than 7'9". Gunnels shoulds be about 36" or lower. I have seen some plans being sold online but they aren't really what I am looking for. I seek plans for a model similar to Anglers 26' or panga marines models

look into bateau.com they sell plans for several panga designs.

Extreme variable deadrise of the Angler boat might be hard to copy in wood. It starts at 60 deg at the entry and middle is still 37deg and flattens out to about 18 at the transom. Also has several lifting strakes and a DEEP reverse chine and "spray collar". Makes for an amazingly smooth and dry ride though..

Look into the panga boat group on yahoo. Some panga info there for those interested in that specific type of boat.

this is now for sale at 1,1 million Baht (1 EUR = 48.7025 THB; 1 THB = 0.0205328 EUR) included the new enigne Yamaha 85 HP; owner want to build a 30/31 ft Panga as soon as possible (we are making a new plan) but has to sale this one.

Sorry, I dind't realize you beat me to the panga group. Thanks for adding your pictures there. There have been several people in the group interested in building a bateau boat.. Arlon

 

Be careful (for non professional builders) with this Panga plan from Bateau, even at first this boat look easy to be build, the plan isn't detailed enough, has some problems and some steps of building are really explained too superficially. As in the 22 ft the floor is designed too low; weight, speed and power prediction are too optimistic and unrealistic too (we check by a 3d model with CP). Anyway the boat perform well, has an economic running, and it is seaworthy; a little more stability is of auspicial during fast turning; but this I think are characteristics of all Panga style boats.
