    Hi,

I'm looking to re-create a bow roller setup like the one from this 1914 lake Union Dreamboat. I'm looking for any resources that will help me do this.

    Welcome to the forum.

The base piece is cast, but the rest can be welded from standard stock (flat bar, bolts, eyes, etc.).

There are several forges around the country, including your area and typically they'll ask for a pattern to make the cast from. You can make this out of wood, milled, sanded, etc. to the shape you want. Don't worry about bolt or fastener holes, which will be drilled after it's cast.

It's also possible you might find a used one at a swap meet, but this will be a hit or miss approuch.

    Hi,

There is a company in the UK starting to produce cast traditional products.

I have no ties to them, except I'm going to purchase one of their windlass products.

    Cheers,
    Mark
