Our beloved MONICA wrecked by incompetent marina

    I've seen barges pulled trough waterways that were not deep enough by a pretty wide margin because of silt. The tugs just kept tugging along while their prop wash was blowing the silt away creating an impromptu channel for their tow. Challenge is finding the balance between power applied to speed up the process versus not damaging the tow.

    Note this i only observed this happening, this is not expert advice on how to handle this situation.

    If this was my boat and after consulting experts i came to the conclusion this plan could succeed I'd at least also investigate possibilities to protect or remove rudder and prop before trying.
