Ouachita Aluminum Boat

Hello
Just acquired a Ouachita(WASH-A-Taw) 12' aluminum boat.
HID tag reads 6 digit serial number,MODEL DSV,10HP,580LBS.
Length 11'9",beam 64",transom 15".
Question-DSV-DEEP SEMI VEE HULL Right or wrong?
If right,what is meant by DEEP?

I googled Ouachita Marine, and various adverts from the late 60's / 1970 come up - here are links to a couple.
Do you recognise your boat in these?

DSV may not have anything to do with the bottom.
Look under the boat, perhaps shoot a few pics to post here.
It would be rare to find a 12’ aluminum boat with much vee in the bottom, due to stability problems.
Edit:
Got the magnifying glass out and looked at the ad, they do offer a “semi vee”, though I dought that it’s a deep one.

 

A guess, and only a guess, is "DEEP" referes to the height of the sides, not the deadrise angle.

Thanks for the reply. The boat is indeed a semi vee, matched to another semi vee boat.

 

Thanks for the reply,you may have hit the nail on the head. Matching Ouachita to another 12 footer the sides the Ouachita are higher.

 

Well, thanks to bajansailor, we see there is a "DSV", but another boat which looks like a flat bottom jonboat, designated as a "DW". I'm tipping the "D" stands for dinghy. I would say DSV stands for dinghy, semi-vee. Now, what would the "W" be ?

 

"Dinghy" would not be used for the model designation of boats built in Arkansas.

 

Why not ?
