volvo 290 ?

    Hello, Iv'e got a 23 clippercraft with volvo 4 cyl and at about 3000 rpm it over revs and slows down. Any input is welcomed this is new to me ,thanks.

    It looks like either the clutch is slipping or the hub in the prop is damaged.

    I've got a volvo 290 single prop I guess I should remove prop and check for damage.Thanks,I'll get back to you.

    Good news,I switched props and no more problems. Is that what's referered to as spinning a prop?
