    Dear Larry,
I'm extremely sorry I offended you and I see that I did (but only indirectly) and what I had in mind was only drawing attention to the fact (*** umed by me only) that the boat in question was at best only an average boat of the period. Given the angle of the picture there wer'nt even any significant curves that I can remember. Anyway, I was expressing myself in a bantering sort of way that meant no insult to you whatsoever. I sorta meant "I call ya". It was a smart *** invitation to you to show me/us why it was so beautiful. An old girlfriend of mine said after I ranted on for a bit "Eric, some people think before they speak". I was not offended because of who she was and she was very wise. IQ 135. The girl and I were very close and I don't even know you even from your posts so I was very much out of line and I, again apologize. In my defense I was probably somewhat drawn into getting smart like that by the extremely rude and insulting comments made by several others and started to think of this forum as some sort of free for all and/or a tomato throwing contest. No excuse. I should have thought about how you'd take it and I didn't. Sorry again.

Relax, Larry. Maybe you don't realize it because English doesn't seem to be your native tongue, but he was complimenting you.

edit: OK, looks like I'm a little late. But a little advice, Larry: you seem like a pretty decent guy. There are a lot of other decent folks here too; don't be too quick to interpret what they say as a personal attack.

Both Lubber and Boston need to verify the suitability of the steak and beer, so in the interest of safety and just being the nice guy I am, you can ship the questionable products to my place, where they will be carefully evaluated and checked out by my staff of unbiased and implicitly trained safety professionals.

I'll bring the shoofly pie -- still warm from the oven, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on each slice.
