I am just following the advise of my council and I will continue to do so until the court requires otherwise

Thing is the judge will look at the intent of my actions and I intend on keeping my actions smelling like a rose

    As I said
I tend to do well in court
I intend to do well this time and I can ensure my best chance of success by following the advice of a lawyer familiar with the law in the state I have engaged in

    Deal is
It's a chess game I intend on winning
    Your move

Boston I wish you the best from my heart.

You should abide by your legal counsel.

All the more reason to no longer discuss any specifics of your litigation here.

Please share this forum thread with your attorney so he is aware of what is public.

I bet he will tell you to never post another thing about your case until it is resolved - and even then maybe never.

Loose lips - sink ships. That's what you're in for now. Good luck

Thanks to all for my welcome [hazing]

Let's not get carried away here; there's a difference between reasonable care and sheer paranoia.

In the first place, there's no reason to believe anyone connected with this deal is likely to meet a violent end, unless they're engaged in drug deals or a messy divorce.

I'm sorry I attempted to make peace, Jingsong and the points too. The more I see from you the more I think you might be involved and attempting to something, Lord knows what with this thread. You have seemingly from the outset attempted to interject a few different negatives into this thread. Then you refuse to read the threads you attack. Dan isn't responsible for my comments (again) and frankly there's absolutely nothing anyone can do about the shotgun comment I made, in regard to Dan's case. Comming around and suggesting (again) such is purely looking to start something. Since you just showed up when the crap hit the fan in Dan's situation, it again is starting to smell like you might be some how involved. You wish someone you don't know "best wishes from your heart" of course intermingled with vague threats and innuendo. Pleeease, what are you trying to do? Endear yourself here? Who are you kidding?

I think you are involved with this somehow and your intent is to shut down this discussion, just in case the church name gets out or whoever your are working with. You've tossed enough BS around in the slightly over 24 hours that you've been a member here to require boots. Is this your way of making friends? So, who are you actually? A church association member that doesn't want the chruch's business dealing (or representatives there of) made public? Are you a friend of the broker, doing them a favor from across the country? Why are you still tossing barbs at me when I've made more then one attempt to start this over assuming it was a "wrong foot" thing? Again, what's the deal with you Jingsong?

we have plans to speak today whether or not he manages to get ahold of the agent who sold my boat

My counsel mentioned sending a fax as well as making another few calls but from what I noticed the broker was always pretty good about returning calls. Kinda feels like he is avoiding my lawyer, probably trying to figure out what he's going to say.

not sure but I'm starting to think I might actually get the boat cause from what I can see I have the earliest signed contract on it.

    who knows

Sorry to hear about all this Boston .....

In case you do get the boat back make sure to triple check everything, who knows what other "mess ups" there might be.

I wish you the very best and hope this gets resolved quickly and with little loss.

Boston, was this boat by any chance "donated" to the church and then listed for sale by the "broker?" I've been involved with these transactions before and there's always some sort of scam involved. Anyway, good luck and i'm sure it will work out well, one way or the other. You're doing the right thing.

I am a bit impressed that this guy made it to 31 points with just 8 posts, not entirely agreed here! I smell a rat and will apply some "correction"...

    Is that a disguise threat?
    I don't get your position.
I suggest you change tone, since you are not a lawyer, and you have no business to comment on law enforcement here.
You have obviously a problem with the forum.
I suggest politely you live it for good.

    sure is

I was hesitant when I heard it was a church to get involved or send them money in any way whatsoever but after looking at four boats all in the same price range I saw that I could beat these guys up some because of all the issues the boat had and the difficulty of some of the repairs at least from a typical owners point of view

I got the check canceled so at least I'm not out that but there was a lot of time and effort put into this choice and my NA surely charged me something to look it over for me.

deal is I have signed papers by the "agent" broker and I was about to send him a pile of cash

not sure whats going on but my lawyer is giving him hell from what I can make of it.

    should be an interesting day

I'm sure the guy will try and tell him that his signature on the contract is not valid or something like what he tried to tell me but I'm not so sure about that and I'd prefer to let him explain it to a judge

OK Boston, but I just don't like people who threaten members of the forum and Jeff (the webmaster I suppose is Jeff) with word like "subpoena" and other law connotation word.
Strange attitude for a single father of 58 years old with a son of 8 years old, and a engineer in Boston Mass :D
I don't think you will find any good angle with him, since he seams to have an agenda.
I don't know what it is, but this guy is not straight forward.
    I smell rat. Sorry.

I'm not even remotely worried about it

in general the truth will not get you into any trouble

we bantered about the price for a bit and I accepted there final offer
they wrote it up, the broker/agent signed it and sent it to me for my signature
I signed it and made out a check
I have a contract with this guys signature on it as the broker/agent
I have in writing his assurance that he is the authorized agent and I will be making the checks out to him
it has a few spots on it for me to sign and I signed it
it also has a spot for the sellers signature and that one is blank
he said the seller would sign once I had returned a copy with my signature
a week after I scanned all and sent it via e mail as proof I had signed and of a check they claim the check never arrived and that they are selling the boat to someone else

not sure if its a scam or not but my bet is they didn't count on my taking legal action

I accepted there offer in writing with a signature and with a check before they accepted another offer

boats mine from what I can see

Richard, Jingsong got all of his points when I felt he was docked points unjustly. He was at -2 after his 5th post (which was deleted) and I felt though I didn't agree with him, nor did I like his tone, he didn't deserve being docked points for his opinion, so I awarded him a dose. I now regret this move on my part, but he's got them so what can I do. He clearly is or was up to something or just has the damnest way of introducing himself. I tried to start over, think we'd gotten off on the wrong foot, but his very next post was more of the same, but with conciliatory nods to the moderator. He's yet to answer anyone's questions.
