Maybe NEITHER atmosphere nor ocean is in bad shape, when the truth finally gets told!
Won't be long before AGW is a totally dead issue and the "deniers" will be those denying they ever supported the failed hypothesis.
It's already dead, just a reluctance of those touting it for years, to accept it's dead.

I wonder if its leaders are like the Graham Capill Christian Heritage Party leader, Graham Capill spoke out against sex before marriage and spent almost 14 years espousing "pro-family" policies.

New Zealand has one of the highest rates of climate change scepticism in the developed world, a study has revealed. Surprisingly, we have more sceptics per capita than in the US, where large numbers of right-wing media and politicians refuse to accept climate change is man-made.

A new paper from the University of Tasmania, called Scepticism in a changing climate: a cross-national study, found 13 per cent of New Zealanders were climate change sceptics.

It was third only to Norway (15 per cent) and Australia (17 per cent). The United States came in at 12 per cent.

The study, which was published in the journal, Global Environmental Change, was based on surveys taken in each of the 14 countries and was designed to be representative of adults aged over 18.

It found countries with higher levels of CO2 emissions corresponded with nations with higher rates of climate change scepticism.

Green Party co-leader James Shaw said some people didn't want to believe in climate change because of the effects they thought doing so would have on their lifestyle.

"That's the cognitive bias we've got which is to say, 'Well if I was to admit this thing was true I might need to give up driving my SUV'."

To increase climate change awareness the Greens wanted to highlight the opportunities that moving to a low-carbon future would create.

"There's a hard core that will just absolutely refuse to believe the science for whatever reason.

your figures are false propaganda. 73% of Americans reject AGW doctrine that man is main cause of warming.

And the "science" is only political rhetoric dressed up with scientific sounding phases.

Climatologists on EVERY side agree CO2 is logarithmic in diminishing returns. Flatlining! Not contributing to additional warming, even 1000 ppm.

If you say, never mind the atmosphere, it's the oceans, All scientists know warmer oceans absorb LESS CO2, colder water absorbs more.

Want to reduce acidification of sea water? (which they cannot sample all over the oceans, its just a prediction its more acidic), Warm things up, and the oceans will release lots of pent up CO2! And be less acidic.

and since plants LIKE CO2, food production is MORE likely to increase than decrease.

People trying to SCARE you into something, have an ulterior motive not in your interest.
if it WAS in your interest, they could easier appeal to your self interest rather than fear.
Frightening you into something means they want you to react irrationally and unreasonably out of panic.

Your best defense is to BE RATIONAL AND REASON IT OUT!

The scare tactics worked for me. I now have a nice home right on the Gulf of Mexico. It floods here but the water always recedes. Scare us some more so more of my friends can get Gulf-side property. That was the old seawall. All new now. Taken at low tide.

Have I ever known a vegan captain?
    Don't think so.
    Congratulations, Hoyt.
Now you can take your Megayacht out of that expensive marina and tie it up in your own back yard where you can maintain it easier.
And keep an eye on it yourself. Don't need to keep it manned for security reasons.
You'll soon be saving tons of money!
    No more crew wages.
    No more marina fees.

Before you protest...stop and think a moment.
This coming month, no wages or marina fees dribbling out of your pocket! TRUE?
If TRUE, then you should be a happy man.
    Don't sweat the small details.
    Everything else is just details.
    :D
If somebody tries to diminish your joy by telling you, you don't OWN a megayacht?
    Just respond with "Details, details."

There was one: ex-captain of farming who rose through the ranks of the corn growers association to the rank of kernel.
