Anybody can print convincing sounding lies.
Seeing them talk, it's easier to judge if they know the subject and believe themselves in what they're saying.

    Another good article IN.
Except the headline is biased. Far more accurate if it announced BOTH sides politically aligned!

    Becoming enlightened? ;)

As said before, let's please keep this thread about ocean news. It would be better to direct arguing just for the sake of arguing to another venue, and certainly posts calling another member dishonest or other negative remarks about another person aren't good for the forum to host and so some posts in the last page have been removed. It would be better to direct that type of post to another venue. Let's please keep the thread friendly and polite to others. Thank you.

This thread was begun in a thinly veiled attempt to forward the notion of Human-caused climate change. The thread itself is a political tool of the left. Should I open a thread under the title of Gulf News so that I could promote my agenda to combat the efforts of people such as Imaginary Number and myark to insult and degrade the Human Race? They would have us turn over all our rights and freedoms to a centralized government run by the likes of them.

My advice is to close this thread and quickly jump on any thread that rises to take its place and nip it in the bud.

As you say, this is a thread about boat design. Any politics legitimately attached to that, such as legislators impeding the ability of amateurs to engage in their passion for boat-building or taxing the yacht industry into closing should be allowed, but to use this forum as just one more platform to destroy Western Civilization should be disallowed.
    Just saying.

There are 2 sides to every coin and if the one side is given the forum, in fairness the other side must be given an opportunity on the forum to refute it.

    Getting feisty Hoyt! :D
I wonder if "walking on water' and "calming the storm" and which side of the boat to haul nets, produces the more abundant catch, are appropriate threads here?

Don't forget a thread about the legal ramifications of throwing "Jonah"s overboard, the Ark design or Cleopatra's barge!

In my opinion Climate Change is a legitimate topic of discussion within the domain of the ALL THINGS BOATS AND BOATING subgroup. Because our long-suffering moderator has allowed a number of Climate Change threads to exist for extended periods of time, I believe he feels it is an acceptable topic too. What he has consistently protested is when folks act disrespectful towards one another. On this thread there are just a couple of people who have violated forum guidelines in this respect. I wonder if banning those people from participating in this particular thread would address the problem more effectively than closing the whole thread or topic.
