Prominent Scientist on Global Warming: No Hope, We're *****ed
Legendary scientist and author of the 'Gaia Hypothesis' of planet earth James Lovelock believes around 80% humanity will be dead due to climate change by around 2100, and there's not much we can do about it.

    1. Global warming has passed the tipping point and is now impossible to stop.
    2. If we had changed course in the late 1960's it could have been prevented

If we could use the massive energy available from our knowledge of Nuclear energy most of the problems we face could be solved and the dangers would be far less than what will happen the way things are going now.
But there is too much squabbling and no one want to concede to a cooperative approach.
We will just have to accept and try and survive what will happen. I am glad I won`t be around to see it.

Geraldton which is 450km north of Perth that is an ocean side small city in the out backs of Australia.
I am amassed with the organization and friendliness in this city for boating as one could call it a boaters paradise as beautiful beaches and parks with endless free electric BBQ and so many boat ramps that have the main boat ramps in the city are high pressure hot water showers for free and are hardly used.
The boat cub in the same region have free washing machines.
I have a shower every morning and night at the boat ramps and recently have been sleeping in the boot of my car at the free camper parking at the boat ramps right in the middle of the city that have security cameras to keep every one safe that is very quiet and insect free and no one cares except say hello when they pass.
There are every kind of fast food franchise one can imagine, night clubs and street bars and all type of restaurants especially for vegetarians, the main park for the children are loaded with children's activity's that are on the citys center beautiful sandy beach fronts for safe swimming in clear sea water.
I have attached an example photos of the children's parks activity's thys have to give an idea how of organized this Geraldton city is, also the parks have free power points connections every where to charge batteries or run ones freezers fridge while on the beach front.
I have to leave this wonderful place as its to relaxing and will go back to the Perth rat race and carry on with my work.

Its rare to see police patrolling or park wardens as I have not seen one park warden.
I put this down to isolation with lots of space to share that is not crowded and is a off the beaten track city who welcome all tourist as they travel through to go north of Australia into the desert region.

A antique sailing boat at the Geraldton city water front I took a picture of
this morning after a free hot shower at the boat ramps.
Geraldton is perfect for sailing as normally there is always a breeze.

    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1574088930/1934-glass-bottom-boat?ref=discovery

    About this project
    Hello,

January of 2016 I found the holy grail of Florida's original glass bottom boats* used at Silver Springs Florida.*
It's from 1934 and the only remaining boat from this by gone era.* The condition was more like yard art vs. a boat.

My goal was to restore it and run short boat tours like it once did.* Everyone thought I was a bit crazy to take on this project, but it seemed like a shame not to bring it back to life.* I started a*kick starter*champagne early on but ended it quickly because I wanted to keep the project under wraps.

With my own funds, lots of man hours, many challenges and headaches it's finally complete and up to USCG current standards.* I renamed her 'Princess Donna' as a dedication to my wife putting up with this project.*

The 'Princess Donna' is a real beauty.* Ready to bring pleasure to so many as she wants did but now on her 83rd Birthday.* Imagine if she could speak and the stories we would hear.* She has been marine surveyed in 'excellent condition'*
She's powered by a 48 volt electric motor just as she was in 1934 so she's eco-friendly.

For every donation you will recieve a life time ride on the 'Princess Donna'*

Please help in getting the 'Princess Donna' back in the water so many people can enjoy her the way folks have in the past. + Read More
    Help spread the word!

I think I took a ride on a vessel just like that at Silver Springs Fla somewhere around 1953 or so.

Why he will make money is he is gathering crowds into his shop which attract more people too come in and have a look, and then they can take their time and buy what they are exactly looking for with no pressure and are can also just to look.
Its a bit like in Bangkok 12 years ago when my wife was 7 months pregnant with Myark and did the sales pitch for me why I demonstrated a multi tool which was a set of 4 ratcheting wrenches and a anchor chain attachment to make it a large pipe wrench or any larger nut sizes.
We arrived out side the local market about 9am and sold on the side of the road with demonstrations 120 sets of 4 wrench "which was all that would fit on the tuk tuk motor bike taxi with out wheel standing" by 3am every Sunday we sold out and made $1000 USD profit for 6 hours work each Sunday and would come back with a large bag of baht buying flowers at each red light stop.
If I stopped demonstrating we would sell none at all and people walked straight past with out looking, but as soon as I demonstrated people would stop and then more people would come over to see what they are looking at and then sold like hot cakes , many stayed for a long time and watched before purchased, also I would give some away to Buddhist monks watching and the crowd loved it.
The crowed would some gang together and ask for discount if they all brought the same time which we gave them and had lots of laughs.
I have a new design much more superior I will start to manufacture next year and will eventually do the same as Bangkok but at international trade shows including boat shows, most likely end up franchises sales demo when proven the market $$$$$$ and possible DRTV sales including China TV DRTV is popular.
This time I have also many other inventions to add as options that also have good demonstrations and very low to high price ranges.

I think you missed the point of what I found interesting in the video presentation,...NOT the money making aspect of it.

Its the art of gathering a crowd to make money like he did with his crowd funding to start which he has also done by combining a book shop with a coffee shop selling books on the side and opens 24 hours, meaning like water "$$$$$" constantly dripping in a bucket and getting internet hits by creating a public crowd and good will.
Library's in Australia are completely free also free internet and free computers to use or as in Darwin they have free computer training and will show how to make web sites or what ever you want to know they teach you for free as I used their free service in Drawin they also have free DVD movies you can take 6 at a time.
Generally the rule of the thumb in China is mostly look after within the family circle, end of story.
An example recently some one took a picture of me helping a school kid pictured attached that was run down by a car on his bicycle close to the work shop I use and every one thought he was dead and his body was having's spasms like a chook with its head chopped off and crowds just watch him at a distance and did nothing while he was in the middle of the busy traffic road.
I immediately sprinted to help him and held his head, as his spasms was banging his head hard on the road and then talked to him constantly to get his attention as his eyes are rolling like crazy around in his head and after 15 minutes he became conscious and then I gave him comfort to ease his shock till the ambulance arrived.
Not one person helped him, also the same happened the following week but its to a young women this time that was run down while on her motor bike and again not one person helped her as she lay in the middle of the busy road. I parked my motor bike in front of her to block traffic while I also gave her first aid till police came and eventually the ambulance .
How ever if you are in the family circle or a friend in business the kindness, helpful and the trust is absolutely amassing and is what that book shop has done by creating a circle of friends is how his business exist also in China profit is normally little in all small businesses and work on the dripping of water into a bucket philosophy.

Large Sections of Australia’s Great Reef Are Now Dead, Scientists Find | New York Times

According to an article published in Nature, two-thirds of reefs in some northern sections are dead, while many areas of the southern section that have escaped bleaching in the past are now bleached -- which is a precursor to their dying.

“We didn’t expect to see this level of destruction to the Great Barrier Reef for another 30 years,” said Terry P. Hughes, director of a government-funded center for coral reef studies at James Cook University in Australia.

Mature stands of clonal staghorn corals on Lizard Island in the Great Barrier Reef could be seen destroyed by
heat stress on Feb. 26, 2016, at left, and colonized by algae just a few weeks later on April 19, at right.

Note: Individual reefs within each region lost different amounts of coral.
Numbers show the range of loss for the middle 50% of observations in each region.

But don't you worry, kiddies, help isn't on its way.

Climate change is making us sick, top U.S. doctors say | USA Today

A report made by a medical society representing half of all US physicians lists three types of harms from climate change:
    • Direct harms, such as injuries and deaths due to increasingly violent weather; asthma and other lung diseases exacerbated by extremely hot weather and wildfires; and longer allergy seasons
    • Increased spread of disease through insects that carry infections like Lyme disease or Zika virus, and through contaminated food and water
    • The effects on mental health resulting from the damage climate change can do to society, such as increasing depression and anxiety

Help to start an Eco-tourism business in Laos
Help Phet be able to buy a boat so that he can do guided eco-tours in the unharmed nature of Laos

    https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/help-to-start-an-eco-tourism-business-in-laos#/

Phet is a math teacher at the local secondary school. He is 40 years old and married with three wonderful children. As the teaching is not well paid he has to go to the lake every weekend to fish and support his family. Problem is that he does not have a boat so currently he hires one from a friend which makes the income he gets from the caught fish quite low.

His dream is to be able to buy a boat so that he can work full time as a fisherman plus do guided tours with local volunteers plus tourists showing them how to survive in the wonderful unharmed nature. He has great support from local NGO initiative Aay’s Village (www.aaysvillage.com) that will help him attract volunteers and tourists.
