Paris Climate Deal Is Too Weak to Meet Goals, Report Finds | New York Times
Current CO2 emission reduction pledges will not hold temperatures to goal of 2.0°C increase (itself greater than the strongly-recommended 1.5°C increase), but will instead allow temps to rise 2.7°C.

US companies to Trump: Don’t abandon global climate deal | Boston Globe
“Failure to build a low-carbon economy puts American prosperity at risk,” the companies said in a joint letter... However, the auto industry is hoping for less pollution regulation from the Trump administration.

Stephen Hawking said we have about 1000 years left on this planet so you can

    1. Go to Mars, or

    2. Party and quit making everyone miserable with your fear mongering.

Everyone can breathe a sigh of relief now that AGW was voted away by the Celebration Of Stupid crowd as they continue creating their own reality, so this must be more of that fake news stuff...

Some areas of the Arctic have reached more than 36 degrees above norm
And in some parts of Arctic Russia, anomalies have exceeded 40 degrees
As these high temperatures occur, sea ice is struggling to recover

Good spot. The journalist who wrote that article appeared at times to mix up "degrees of change" with an absolute temperature.

Corals survived Caribbean climate change | PHYS.org

Corals in the genus Orbicella survived a coral extinction event 1-2 million years ago, apparently do to an unusually high genetic diversity. It is thought that this group of coral will be among those most likely to survive the rapid environmental changes we are currently experiencing.

Yes, that seems to be an enormous mistake, my bad for not reading deeper into the article.

    About this project

Tom Daily with the help of DARcorporation's engineering services will bring to life the Lake Hopper. A new flying water craft for water recreational fun! This is a next generation VTOL (Vertical Takeoff and Landing) concept that will revolutionize the water aviation world. Initial drawings are being developed as we speak. We will need the help of every Kickstarter on this campaign to make the Lake Hopper a success. DARcorporation does not just read aviation books, but they also write aviation books. www.DARcorp.com.

Thank`s for that link myark and very interesting.
It is going beyond what I want of a recreational vehicle, as I do not want to travel too far or too high (skimming the surface for me) so take of and landings and high speed (the dangerous part) would not be necessary for me.
Road transport between flights is a must.
Also a rotor that does not create rotational torque is essential (already available) so I choose using already proven and available parts from a decommissioned helicopter with my modifications and present technology with out the expensive avionics, it has to be dirt cheap.

The lake hopper may be trying to hard to impress with design and innovative ideas that will cost millions to develop and time.I do not have enough time left for that.

I do not need expensive drawings or computer design to do what I want. And I do not want to be involved with Aviation Regulations such as lodging flight plans and all of that is involved with regulated flying.Keep it simple Ground Effect vehicle.
