Well....If it makes you feel better, use Jims General store climate observations .

Im sure he sells plenty of thermometers....they cant all be wrong.

A US man shot and killed the host of a TV program about shooting - while the host was visiting his wife.

Wayne Bengston, 41, then beat his wife, took his two-year-old son to a relative's house and drove to his home about 40 kilometres away, where he apparently killed himself, police say

F the guns, this is a boat design forum, not gun forum.

What has the news report have to do with climate or boating? Wait; maybe the murderer fled the scene of the crime in a boat? More lives are saved each year by gun owners than are lost to gun crimes by a wide percentage.

"The authors concluded that defensive uses of guns are about three to four times as common as criminal uses of guns. The National Self-Defense Survey confirmed the picture of frequent defensive gun use implied by the results of earlier, less sophisticated surveys."

Didn't the Chinese use some kind of cannon to lessen the smog during the Olympics?
I notice this while waiting for the sailing.
There - weather, guns and boats:?:

They used cloud-seeding in an attempt to induce rain -- not only to wash the air, but to empty the clouds so it wouldn't rain on opening day.

The Chinese spend an incredible amount of money and effort on cloud seeding; they're convinced it works.

They also think rhino horn(the same stuff your fingernails are made of) gives you a stiffy.

The difference is that the rhino horn works, as long as you believe it will.:)

The cloud seeding? Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. If I remember right, some studies have concluded that on the average it increases the likelihood of rain by about 10% overall. But the results are pretty variable, and differ from one region to another.

Wonder what all that silver iodide China is blanketing its soil with does to people, plants and animals in the long run? Maybe nothing, if they're lucky.
