A new species that thrives somewhere is labeled "invasive."

Were not all species invasive at some point in history?

The world is changing. Plants and animals continue to change and adapt. That's what they do.

Thats only the word for it.

I think you're a little casual about shrugging off invasive species. Go talk to an Australian about what rabbits have done to his country.....

I haven't studied the situation, but I wouldn't be surprised to find the spread of warm-water species into the Arctic could upset the normal order of things enough to play holy hob with the fishing industry.

Or your Burmese Python in Florida. Theres is so many Pythons in Florida the Burmese call them the Florida python.

But we are both talking crap Troy both the python and the rabbit were released by human and not attracted by change in climatic condition as suggested that an invasive species does..

Since the change in climatic conditions is apparently caused by human activity, I think the term is defensible in this situation -- whether we're deliberately gathering species up and turning them loose there, or just changing conditions until they move in on their own.

But never mind the semantics; substituting words or descriptions of what's happening doesn't change what's happening.

Australia has finally got rid of the rabbits by creating a contagious disease that made them sterile

Why don't they release some in Africa or other regions of famine.

Management has seemingly gone out out the window here, hence my impatience with it all.

Plant a yummy rabbit population that thrives in areas of famine. Good idea.
It's what we did with pigs, cows, and chickens to eat and horses to ride.

If we closed the Mercedes and BMW factories more money would reach the poor in these corrupt sodden ed countries.
