Now, I've been wondering about this for a while. Is there really an improvement in the final properties of a composite that has been infused instead of wet-bagged?

Before you start jumping all over my case about this, I'll willingly admit that I think it is a pretty cool technique, and I do understand all about the benefits of having all the time in the world to position the reinforcements before actually introducing the resin, and about the lower VOC given off and all that, I have done a fair number of smaller scale experiments with infusion.

So, that all said, my primary concern is that since you're still dealing with with dry fabrics in infusion, I don't see getting the benefit of the fiber straightness that is possible with prepregs.

I do have some other questions too, but let's start with that, I would like your INFORMED and THOUGHTFULLY CONSIDERED opinion on the matter of the FINAL properties of composites made with the two methods.

P.S. Sorry about the shouting, my intent is not to be obnoxious, but I'd rather not wade through a bunch of blabber, so if you have something meaningful to add, I'd love to hear from you.

    Yokebutt.
