Can someone help me. I'm not sure the year or model of this boat. I'm interested in buying it.

I am guessing that she was probably built in the 60's; her hull looks similar to this 19' Thunderbird built in 1967, never mind that she has a cuddy cabin forward, and yours is a bow rider.

Yours appear to be a bit bigger than the 16' version mentioned in this thread.

Thunderbird Tri-hull made in 66. It's right in the HIN. They are pretty good boats so long as the transom and stringer wood is not soaked through with water. Fiberglassics website will have better info. Some models were rare and worth some coin in mint condition or restored to mint. In my area fo SC, that boat in good condition, running with a trailer, would sell for around $1500 to $1800. No one around here views boats as anything worth spending money on. I can drive around my area and find 50+ boats within a 10 mile radius that's been put out to pasture literally. Outback and left to rot. Theres at least five boats on my block that are rotting away in back lots. I'm not close to a lake either. Well, five plus miles away at slow speeds, so 15 to 20 minutes away in traffic.

    BlueBell Ahhhhh...

You need to get it surveyed before even considering purchase.
The owner should split the cost with you.

    1966 is pre-HIN.

Ok. Maybe different for different manufacturers.

Just did a quick search HINs were for the factory to establish hull ID. Coast Guard standardized the HIN in '72 so it's more like an automobile VIN. They did it to make vessels in accidents more identifiable.
